I would first like to introduce myself. My name is Ms. Alexandra Batista and I am the new Parent Coordinator taking over for Ms. Galarza. Although I will have big shoes to fill, feel rest assured that you have a person here to serve the school completely and who genuinely cares about the wellbeing of you and your child.
Please feel free to contact me or come to visit me at the office with any questions or concerns. In addition, you will learn more about our school, as parents become highly engaged in your child’s educational environment, learn about important dates like standardized testing, report cards, upcoming events, workshops, and let you know about some of the ways in which you can get more involved in our school’s activities and support your children’s education.
In addition, you will be given the opportunity to meet with some of your child’s teachers to get an overview of the planned curriculum for the rest of the school year or what is going on currently in the classroom and how you can work with your child from home. Partnering up with your child’s teacher is super important. Don’t miss this opportunity to help your child get off great for the remaining of school year.
We want to make sure that you develop a great partnership with your child’s teachers, and staff. Meeting your child’s teacher, not only to discuss “what’s wrong with your child, or promotion in doubt” but we also want to make sure we meet with our teachers for positive reasons, your child’s development, and advancement in class.
