In order to maintain a positive learning environment, it is expected that PS1X students dress in a professional manner. We expect Courtlandt School students to be dressed appropriately to ensure safety and to keep the focus on teaching and learning. We would like all parents and guardians to remind students of proper dress protocols.
Students are expected to wear the school uniform daily. The uniform consists of:
Pre-K -3K. White shirt and Navy Blue pants or skirt
K-4th grade Light Blue shirt and Navy Blue pants or skirt
5th grade. White shirt and Beige khakis/Navy Blue pants or skirt
On days when the class has physical education, students are expected to wear the uniform top with sweatpants.
Important Note:
Students are expected to wear the school uniform, including a shirt with the school logo, to all class trips.
Students must be in full uniform in order to attend school assemblies.
Teachers are required to contact the parents of students who do not wear the school uniform beginning on November 1, and must log all outreach in the Communication Binder.
Faculty will assess why the student is not in uniform, and inform administration as to the reason given by the parent. Appropriate consequences, if needed, will be determined based upon the parent’s explanation and the grade of the student.
